dynamat 120-130

Asbestos...really? I pulled the stuff off the firewall and it looked more like Jute to me - then I put on a Dynamat equivalent and tossed in my heatblok blanket. Done and easy (well, several hours on your back and getting in wierd places notwithstanding). The heatblock didn't fit perfectly as I think they took the pattern off the back of the original and it is quite a bit thinner, so it needs to be stuffed in from time to time and stuck down with double sided carpet tape. Works like a charm. A little heat on the Dynamat makes it a lot easier to form (mine is the aluminum foil backed stuff) - and I think most of the sound deadener is just roofing ice guard.
