center caps front wheels 200

89 volvo 240 sedan put 205/60/15 tires on with 15 slotted wheels (think from 940) which are yr basic looking volvo wheels. all is ok except the two front wheels. the center caps do not lock into place and i noticed the center hub sticking out and why does this stick out more . i do not have the insert retainer rings for the front two and was wondering what they are called and where to purchase from? i was told it was the center part sticking out that is why the center caps do not fit on. suggestions?
