S90 Rear shocks code? Replacement recommendations? S90-V90

The ID plate on my 98 S90 reads as follows on the 5th line: 031E24A, where the "E" is apparently the code for the rear shocks. They appear to be non-Nivomat, just straight tube shocks. Can anyone tell me what make/type the OE's are (gas charged, etc.)? I plan to buy the Monroe Sensa-Trac 5978 units mentioned in the FAQ's unless BB members advise otherwise.

Showing 194k km on the odo, and probably the original shocks. There is some leakage on the left side unit, and even a small bump at speed results in a shuddering vibration after the initial jolt. Also the car feels very uncertain in "spirited" right turns if the left rear tire is on anything but smooth pavement. Suspension bushings are grungy, but look concentric.
