Daughter's car suddenly died on her 200 1990

1990 245:

Daughter is driving along through a residential area and suddenly the engine dies and all the cluster lights come on. She pulls over, restarts the car normally and off she goes. Fuel relay was replaced at a Volvo repair shop 21k ago for $48. Crank position sensor, plugs, plug wires, cap, and rotor were replaced by me at about the same time. After the car died the other day, her husband replaced the main fuel pump fuse, cleaned the prongs that hold it, and cleaned the 25 amp fuse under the hood by the battery. Neither fuse looked bad.

So, nothing has been done that would make us feel secure that we fixed it. We'd like to feel a little more confident that it's not going to die on her out on the freeway somewhere. Anything else we should be checking.
