Uneven Front Tire Wear 700 1988

1988 740 wagon. 195,000 miles. About a year and about 20,000 miles ago I got new front tires and an alignment. Tires are always properly inflated and I have not had any accidents or impact damage to car anyehere. I inspected ball joints, tie rods, etc and all looks fine. Passenger side front tire is worn more on outside then inside. Drivers side front tire is fine/even wear. What could be causing this ? What can I do ? Should I rotate tires(I admit that I never do so)? Should it be re-aligned ? Thanks for help with this.
