Vacuum lines 700 1986

While replacing the engine wiring harness in my 1986 740GLE, I noticed a 3/8" to 1/4" I.D. vacuum line that I must have pulled loose. It connects to a T fitting with the other side going through the extreme left (drivers side) firewall. I removed the intake manifold to make wiring easier, and saw no place to connect this vacuum line.

I also noticed what appears to be a fitting for about a 1/2" I.D. hose at the idle adjustment, but have no hose that large this is disconnect. Should there be something connected here?
