89 240 with 231 and 113 codes 200

Geez, if it isn't one thing its another lately.

My 89's check engine light came on a few days ago. The codes were 231 and 113. Searching past posts led me to believe that the O2 sensor was likely to be the problem. As it had about 250K on it, I replaced it with a Bosch 13913 spliced to the original wiring with solder, tape and shrink wrap.

The fix worked fire for about 75 miles and then the light came on again. Same codes.

Suggestions, Gentlemen?? I would like to fix this before I put another set of tires and an alignment into the beast. My wife is doing the new car pout. Don't know why, she hasn't driven this car in years.
