'82 245 windshield replacement question HELP!! 200

I am thinking about replacing the windshield on my 82 245. I recently found another 82 245 with perfect replacement candidate at a local junk yard. My questions are

1, Can I remove the windshield from the donor breaking the “seal” or gasket with metal clip? In other words, are seal and the window itself always together or can be separated?
2. If I take this replacement windshield, without the seal, just the glass, to a local auto glass shop, can they replace the windshield using the existing seal?
3, If existing seal is not reusable, can the shop supply a new seal (whether new style or old) to go with this donor windshield?

I am trying to see if I can use this windshield from the junkyard….for $20, I would love to utilize it, but the seal will be broken on it then… I hope this make sense. HELP!
