What was this for? Was it a light? 700

I have some ideas about what I could use it for - I may simply attach it to that add-in switch next to it to make an indicator light. I may, like you did, put in a low coolant level switch. Since my aux fan switch is bypassed, I may use the cutout in the radiator to install the low coolant switch, or a secondary electric temperature sender.

Am I correct in believing that if coolant levels dropped, a temp sender in the top of the radiator would read abnormally low?
