Why Do HIF's Seem to HATE my Engine? 120-130

I have not followed any prior posts on this so may have missed something,
but vacuum leak and timing issues would be my first two questions.
So far what you describe seem to be problems at idle, with nothing as to how it drives at speed, how you are tuning for correct air fuel mixture, etc.
Also want to be sure that you recognize that with the modified head, cam,and exhaust system that the engine may need a richer needle than a stock B20, though my recollection from the last time I played with HIF carbs on a similar engine was that it was close enough with a stock needle to run reasonably.

Email or call me directly if you have any specific questions, as I may not have time to catch them here.
