Why Do HIF's Seem to HATE my Engine? 120-130

Thanks Bill, I didn't take the large plug out of the manifold for the mentioned reasons. I'll check the PCV nipple for leaks. I'll check for leaks again everywhere. The FPR is a Holley unit not the other type (although I did have the plastic dial one for a while - worked for about 1 hour of run time). The fuel pump is a Pierburg (sp?) and is relatively new. The distributor is a '75 electronic ignition unit - as far as I can tell it is working normally (advance mechanism works etc). It has been rebuilt as well, there is no throttle shaft wear or other issues.
