You are not alone 120-130

I have a perfectly fine pair of HIF6s that I put onto a both a B18B and later a B20E. Nothing I did would let them tune correctly. Mine are equipped with either BBB or BAL needles (I forget). I tried non-vented butterflies as well. The subtle geometry change between the vented and unvented cause their own set of issues.

It was suggested that the normal HIF needles will not work on the high compression engines.

I eventually gave up, but still have the carbs. If you find a working solution please post.
