Well, I've heard so many conflicting reports about repairing this, but here it goes.....The headliner on our 1989 740GL is shot. It's sagging enough where it started tearing. To add to the problem, the seals on the sunroof have failed and the sunroof rattles pretty bad. I know that IPD sells a headliner kit, which I have, but have been warned about removing the fiberglass cover that the headliner attaches to, as it is fragile and tends to crack. Am I just better off leaving this one to the professionals (though I'm trying to save some expenses as well)? Any suggestions?
