Dana / Spicer 23 on a PV544? 444-544

I found a rear from an unknown year 544.
It is a Dana/Spicer 23. I thought Dana/Spicer 27 was used on 544s.
It is a 4.56:1 ratio.

The axle seals need to be replaced and I'll do the pinion seal as well. Other than that, it seems ok when spinning by hand.

Does anyone know;
1. Are seals available? Where?

2. Is the input shaft spline the same as a 27? The reason I ask is because I want to swap the companion flange from my 27. The style is different.

3. What year used a 23?
