240 Manual Trans-plant 200 1985

I've an '85 240 with the AW70 tranny. Found an '83 turbo in a friend's salvage yard, which he recently added to his inventory. Has 225K on it with a 4sp manual tranny. Car's not been cannibalized yet. If the tranny's OK, any reason the '83 manual set up wouldn't swap over to my '85, replacing the auto box? I know to get everything from the flywheel back including the driveshaft, crossmember, etc. Any stumbling blocks anyone might be aware of? The only thing I've disliked about my 240 is the auto box. It's doing fine for the 10 years (276K) I've had the car, I just don't like automatics!
