In the middle of one repair, find another.... 700 1987

Hi folks,

I'm replacing my inner tie rods, after the opinions on the Board led me to understand they were close to failing. I've always had some steering pull, and now that I have things apart, I can see a rather bent tie rod on the left side (it would bias the steering toward the right, I assume).

Anyway, now I found that the tie rod end balljoint boots are torn, and funky, so I am replacing those as well. I am pretty sure that the tie rods and ends are original. The undercoating is definitely suspicious.

I'm making a digital photo journal for a friend of mine who will soon be doing the same job, and anyone else here is welcome to it as well.

Thanks,

Ari
