Rear shocks on ~2.5" lowered 244 springs 140-160

I cut a coil and a half off the front stock springs on my 70 144 and two coils off the rear springs from a 244. I also put the rear sway bar from the 244 on. Today I put in new rear shocks and I wanted to take a moment ad rave about them. The car feels fantastic. The original application is apparently for the front of a Cadillac Escalade and they are Monroe Reflex shocks (I did have to nip off the too-wide upper inner collars). I wanted to replace the rear shocks because they were obviously shot, the increased spring rate, and because the shortened springs were almost falling out of the 244 cups when I jacked the car up by the body. At a glance it seems like these are ridiculously too hard (and they look it too with about as big a body as will fit into the car) but the ride is firm without jarring. I am very happy with the road feel.
