Auto RX oil additive 900 1997

Hello All:

My 97 960 wagon is due for an oil change. I have been using MobSyn 10W40 High Milege. Taking off the oil cap, the cam looks gold or varnish colored, so i don't think i have a sludge problem, but because it burns some oil, I've been looking for ways to reduce that consumption. One recommendation was that I use Auto RX. Suspicious of additives, I looked up A-RX on the web but have only found positive results. I'm still suspicious and would appreciate the opinions of others here who have used the stuff. Thanks
