haven't posted in a minute but here is a site on Garmin 330 (style) gps battery replacement.

as well this place had a much more potent, but still proper battery with leads, for an excellent price.
www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=4521
garmin charges $150 ... i did it for like $19
i discovered: if you have a three wire connector (green, black, and red) the green wire is not necessary if you buy the battery with +/- leads & pre-wired pcb.
i carefully stripped the wires involved, neatly twisted the black & red leads of the battery & gps harness, sealed with heat shrick, and reassembled.
i experimented with a no solder "technique", but used the correct (smaller) size heat shrink to keep it tight & all together.
if you like to solder, that'll work too.
my way works great. very reliable. and the stronger battery provides a much longer & brighter performance.
under the silver fascia there is a "reset" button... it works to re-boot the software... good to try if you have re-clac-u-lat-ing or other issues :-)
dont hate on my engine bay.
