85 740 turbo 4sp od manual slave leaking after rebuild issues. 700 1985

After typical pedal to floor ,I noticed fluid leaking from boot on slave cylinder, towed home ,removed slave and observed washer in cylinder missing a good section ,rebuilt with kit from autozone which included a new washer and boot ,instructions read to dip new washer in brake fluid and install, and same with new boot . It leaked afterward and I then honed cylinder bore with 400 grit emery cloth and brake fluid ,reassembled and now still no pedal ,it leaks . I have a "one man bleeder " that worked at one point ,but now it seems my problem is not with bleeding but woth my sealing of the cylinder washer against the bore of the cylinder wall . Any tips or tricks to get this thing to get enough pressure to seal? It was perfect before the failure of the slave cylinder.
