does anyone have an effective fix for a gouge in the tie rod flexible boot ? 200

while working on the 93 wagon i bought for my 33rd anniversary last week i have completed all the important stuff.........replaced both control arms with good used ones which came with near new bushings already in them. the junkyard guy was surprised at how nice the bushings were.

a used hood with the same paint code went on today. the car is such a sweet ride.

i did notice a gouge in the passenger inner tie rod boot. it isn't split as the boots are almost new. anyway there is a gouge the size of quarter.

any good ideas the best way to repair it?

i really do not want to dismantle things to remove the boot
