Crazy Tach 700 1988

I had the same problem on my 88 760. I'd be driving and the car would turn off and on and the tach would jump all over the place. I thought it was the hall sensor but after some trouble shooting, I found that the big plug connection next to the battery was corroded and when I'd grab the wiring and give it a tug the car would stall. Cleaned the contact and put some electrical grease and never had the problem again.
