81 245 AC compressor belt replacement... 200

Hi there,

The owner of the 81 probably would not be immediately interested in buying a Bentley that begins coverage at 83, though it is useful in this instance. On 240s, the split sheave pulley was used with B21 and B23 motors. The B230 motor has a jackscrew adjustment at the compressor's mounting bracket. I don't believe either manual makes mention of the well-hidden bracket bolt on the back slide bracket, exactly opposite to the jackscrew's locknut, which is what stymies most newbies trying to move their B230 AC compressor.
