In-tank Fuel Filter 140-160

Anyone know of a source for the in-tank fuel filter on a "71 142E, or a substitute? I'm using an external filter in the line between the tank and the pump at the moment, but it appears to be giving me problems. At least, I suspect it is restricting the flow at suction end too much, even though there is very little sediment in the filter. I'd like to go back to the original set-up.

After about five miles the engine starts missing and eventually dies. At that point the gauge at the injectors shows low pressure. Let it sit for a while, and it starts right up again and the cycle repeats itself. The fuel vent hoses and the canister in the trunk are not obstructed. I have a lockable gas cap that has never caused tank vacuum before. I don't see why it should be doing so now.
