Roof Rack on 240 200

I need a little input on the roof racks. My car came with the older style Black one that have the cross bars. These seem to be more functional than the new style that I have seen on a 91 245 SE. I removed the old style rack and installed the plugs a few years ago. I still have it just don't like it. I noticed the new style also black that is just two rails and no cross bars. It is also much lower to the roof. Since I now know how the headliner comes out without taking knife to it, I was thinking of going back to the junk yard for them and the head liner that is in perfect shape also. Any thoughts on the racks. thanks
