Crank Pulley Was Loose...the saga continues 200 1993

I have recently had some no start issues, but I got that all worked out...CPS. I put in the new part and the car started right up, but I noticed that my fan was not moving. Then I noticed that the belts weren't moving because the crank pully was not moving. Due to my boneheadedness I am sure, the crank pulley bolt worked itself loose. I am sure, due to the shaved keyway in the back of the crank pulley, that I lopped off the key on the crank timing sprocket.

I am going to replace the timing sprocket this weekend. My concern is that my timing might have gotten out of whack, eventhough the timing belt did not come off. Should my timing still be OK? If I put the new sprocket on and then the crank pulley, should I just be able to line everything up with TDC?

And I do hope that Goatman reads this one. I think that he has either owned one to many Volvos or can see into my future! In all my years of piddling with my cars, I would never have ascertained that, after disconeccting the exhaust system, that my backfiring issue might be a timing problem.
