2) your around-town mileage sounds OK, but I get close to 30MPG(US) on the highway at a steady 65-70MPH on cruise control. Check the usual stuff, fresh spark plugs (OE Volvo at FCP-Groton, 6 for $25), clean air filter (Mann C29 122/1 about $9 at FCP). I use Mobil-1 5W30 synthetic oil, and keep the tires at the 36psi cold per the Volvo door sticker.

If you don't see the Mann filter listed for the S90, it's the same one as in the non-Turbo 940's.
