Water Pump Installation Trick?? 200

Hi all! After spent many days rebuilding my newly added ’82 245 GL with k-jet, I very frustratingly found out that there is a coolant leak. It is leaking from the “donut” seal that sits in between the pump and the cylinder head. Both pump and the seal/gasket are brand new. What is the trick, folks? I try to find an answer from the other postings but no luck…I feel rather stupid not to know how to properly install water pump, of all these things… HELP!!!

Cheers,
Toshi
