I think that removing the front wheel gave me enough room to do it.
I was also using a 2-foot racheting torque wrench.

It was definitely a pain, but not impossible.

You might also try lowering the car down, or using a jack to take the pressure off the rear bolt - or breaking the bolt loose before raising it up.


I think now, that I may have set up the torque wrench/breaker wrench, then used an axe handle as a lever to give me even more leverage on the and of the torque wrench. The arrangement winds up shaped like an L.
