B18 Center Section for PV444 444-544

Just made the first try to set a B18 center section (grille, radiator support) from a donor 544 onto the 444. The piece is a bit too wide to set all the way down onto the mounting place in the center. Looks like I will have to relieve either the sheet metal in the center section or the front frame horns on the 444.

Just wondering if any of you have experienced this and, if so, which way you went.
