Ignition harness repair 200

So, my 21 year old son is going off to the Bonnaroo Music Festival, good-looking girlfriend in tow, and left his wonderful '83 245 for the old man to wrench on. (Kidding. I really don't mind). I've got to rewire his 8-pin harness and replace his blower motor.

His ignition harness looks pretty ratty. Does anyone have a pin-out for it? (I searched and didn't find anything) Is there any reason I couldn't extricate it and rebuild it?

Routing the harness under the crank pully seems to invite trouble. Has anyone tried a different routing?
