Hi Cameron;
Here in Canada we had d-jet "E" engines to 1973, and "F" engines with K-jet in 74-75. The last year for a carbed B20 was 1974 using HIF6. Those heads had the locater rings in the intake ports so to my mind were carb castings, although the undrilled pads for the injectors were on the top of the head alongside the head bolts pads. I can't say for sure, but I never saw 44 mm intakes in a carb head.
