ZF22L, can I force the converter to lock? 700

After doing some research, I have found out that the converter is locked in 4th gear after the gov pressure reaches a certain point, I think I read 50psi or so. Has anyone come up with a way to get it to lock on command, but changing something or modifying the trans? This is hooked to a diesel, and I would like to get the converter to lock at a lower speed in other gears to take advantage of the low end torque, and also reduce heat being generated by the converter slipping.

Thanks,
Jason
