Howdy,

Titled, running, registered, inspected, repaired rockers, fresh paint, ALL* new rubber, all electrics working, heater core and radiator pressure tested, engine compression and leak down numbers recorded (and good), rebuilt carb(s), new headliner, new tires, and good brakes. Yes, $3100 is a good price.

But, if the windshield leaks or the suspension hasn't been rebuilt, subtract $1000. No headliner installed, subtract $500. If the exhaust, transmission, or engine leaks, subtract another $300. In other words, if you clean it up, stop the rust and primer the patches, seal the engine and transmission, you will be able to pull $1600 as a driver. Subtract $300 from that if you leave those tires on there.

Of course, a lot of that depends on where you are and the motivation of a buyer.

*Rubber is a big deal. No one piece is expensive. But if the rubber is old, it will all have to be replaced. And that is expensive even if you do the work yourself.
