1963 122 wagon questions 120-130

Been awhile, but ,...
two pretty simple questions;
1.) on the early type of front seats(the NON-snap in type), how exactly do I put the lower cushion back into the frame without beating the h*** out of it! Reluctant to remove the upright backrest, since that looks like to open another can of worms.
2.) is this car(early '63, still has/had front drum brakes) supposed to have a solid vinyl headliner, or should it be perforated, like the later models?

P.S. just finished repairing/welding up the rotten roof rain gutters.
nasty work made worse by old plastic filler. Hey guys, that stuff absorbs water!!
