REBUILDING 544 STEERING BOX 444-544

I took this sites advise and closed up the steering box and added fluid and the fluid just about pours out the bottom by the large nut. So I bought a rebuild kit and plan on replacing the needed seals. Is there anything I should be concerned with when taking this box apart, can the steering box be rebuilt while still in the car or do I have to remove it and should I mark the location of the steering arm before I remove it. Naturally the kit did not come with any directions. I do have a repair manual, but I'd rather get information from people that have rebuild them before. Any suggestions or potential problems I should be concerned with.
