brakelights bad 700

I have an 89 760 turbo wagon that I replaced the rear left tail light assembly on. Top lite did not light for brakes or anything else. When I tried to jumper to lower brake light I lost all my brake lights. Did I fry a relay, bulb out unit, fuse? Fuse block on left of dashboard does not list a brake light. I have no idea where the components might be, maybe somewhere between the bumpers. Info appreciated. Thanks.
