HELP! Where does the foam with the 940 heater core go? 900 1992

Hi,
I'm ready to install the new heater core and I'm not sure where the piece of foam that comes with the new hearter core goes. I've got the Nissens unit from FCP and it comes with a strip of foam. My best guess is that it wraps around three sides of the new core but the old one didn't appear to have one.

PS- Job has gotten pretty smootnly so far thanks to the wonderful FAQ. The next hour of re-assembly will tell the tale.
