Hunting idle for 30-45 seconds on start 200 1989

Hi. I've had an "89 240 sitting idle for about eight months. I have recently got it back in action and have had 3-4 full tanks of petrol through it. It is now hunting at idle for about 30 - 40 seconds, sometimes stalling. After this time the car runs fine. This happens every time the car is stopped and left for 30 seconds or more. The only time it does not happen is first thing in the morning when the car is very cold. At this time it idles perfectly. Even if the car is left all day without starting the problem still occurs on start up. Had a new fuel filter and coil - no difference. This has been ongoing for 2 months. Any ideas??
