brokrn wire on AC compressor, How to fix? 200 1986

My AC stopped working and I assumed the worst, but I have appeared to have gotten off easy this time. I discovered that the black wire that supplies voltage to the compressor has broken. It broke off of a small rectangular plastic wiring block on the back of the compressor. The break is flush with the plastic block. I can see no way to remove this block to splice the wire back to the compressor. Any suggestions on how to re-connect this?
Thanks for your help.
