SUCCESS!!! A/C Conversion 700

I just successfully converted my broken a/c from R12 to R134a without the OEM Volvo kit! I bought the Scantech generic conversion kit, R134a orifice tube, and a new receiver, along with some adapters from WalMart. So let's see, that's about $65 in parts, plus $40 for refrigerant and filler hose, plus $10 for ester oil, plus $20 for A/C evacuation. For $135 TOTAL and 6 hours of work, I fixed the leak in my system while converting it. Now it blows 40 degrees at the vent! Thanks for all the advice everyone, and thanks brickboard for the FAQs.
