transmission and engine mounts replacement 200

Hi:

I drove my 1990 240DL onto my ramps, removed the oil filter and replaced both of my engine mounts within approximately 1 1/2 hours.

I used a floor jack to gently push up on my crank pulley, and also placed a piece of wood between my oil pan and crossmember as a back up safety measure.

It also helps if you have one of those new gear wrenches for the drivers side motor mount.

I also go with Genuine Volvo parts for jobs like this. Tasca Volvo has great prices on their motor mounts. Not really a difficult job, just take your time and be careful.

Good luck with this project.

If it needs to be maintained, repaired or replaced on a 1990 240, I've probably done it. '90 240DL, 268K looking forward to 300K badge (or sticker??). >>You haven't really worked on a car until you draw blood<< :-}
