Full throttle acceleration problems - 94 944 NA Bosch 900

Greetings all,

I have been having acceleration trouble with my brick lately. Generally performance is fine, but when it's warm and I floor the accelerator (such as when entering the freeway) I lose any semblance of performance. The RPMs top out at around 4000 and it feels as though the engine is producing very little power. If I back off the throttle to about 3/4 it performs normally again. Putting it in neutral doesn't change anything--still the same symptoms. Oh, and just to make it interesting--this behavior is not consistent.

I've pulled the codes and all are normal. I've replaced the radio suppression relay and the fuel injection relay with used spares I had on hand and there was no change. I can find nothing in the FAQ that refers to this set of symptoms. In a word, I'm stumped.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt
