Lube center bearing 700 1987

Hi,

I would like to lube my center bearing, as I believe it is original to the car and may be a source of some of the driveline noise I have heard lately. I would like some advice on how to do this.

I plan on replacing my universal joints as well, sometime before the next month. Since the driveshaft will be out of the car at that point (and marked REALLY well for reinstallation!), would this be the best time to lube it?

I have some Mobil 1 pink chassis grease in a can. Is it good enough for me to simply smear some grease in the boot with my fingers? Is this OK to pack in the u-joints as well?

Thanks!

Ari
