93 940 Distributor/Plug Wires Order 900 1993

93 940 Turbo had an random stall but would restart after a couple of minutes until finally I went out one day and it wouldn't start at all. Determined that there wasn't any spark so I started relaced coil, spark plug wires and ignition module. Repaced water pump as well as it had started leaking from the weep hole. Still no start. Repaced distributor cap and rotor. Brick starts right up but using the following guide for my plug wires it now idles at 3000 rpm, loses power, back fires and smokes like crazy while running.

Rear distributor: Left-to-right terminals are 4-3-1-2

Plugs: Front-of-engine-to-back: 1-2-3-4

When I changed the wires the order on the distributor was 4-3-2-1 so I swapped them back. Car now idles smoothly but when I put it in gear it shudders and dies. I made the mistake of taking the TPS off while cleaning the throttle body so I'll try to make adjustments on it but am confused about the order of the plug wires.
