Along with a broken blower motor (I have a complete new working assembly to put in) - this is why the heat never worked in my 164. I'm surprised it didn't catch on fire! I cleaned the assembly and will get the heater core steam cleaned before I put it back in.

This was a real pain in the ass to get out. I'm glad I will (hopefully) never have to do it again.
