Trunk lid won't stay open 444-544

Do you happen to remember which struts you used? I seem to recall they were a generic NAPA strut.

Keith,

That's why I was trying to find the original thread, to help me remember - alas no trace of it.

I got them at NAPA for a very reasonable price compared to the European ones.

The struts are about 12.5 inches long, compressed, including the connectors. There's all sorts of hard to read printing all over them, but the significant parts go something like "SPD-GSNI-5250-45" and "612/02 4344". Also "Service Plus Distributors, Inc." and "WWW.SPDHARDWARE.COM"

PS:
Just found the invoice! NAPA Part# 819-5669 "Lift Support" & 735-1591 "Stud". Total cost for a pair of each, including shipping, (I guess they had to special order it) $52.45. That was in Dec."04.
