Are you a carpenter or does this refer to Volvo add ons?

Just after the US DOT required that all new cars have the 3rd rear brake light I ordered an option from Volvo to add it to my '85 245.

I think I got it is '87 or so.

The kit had the light as you note and the wiring harness and instructions to run it from the brake lignt switch up under the brake pedal back to the 3rd brake light. You should use a duplex connector at the male spade at the brake light switch.

By doing this the Bulb Out Sensor will not be affected.
