Startup issue 200 1990

I recently had a startup issue . I had driven around 5 miles and then stopped at a shop, after 5-6 minutes I came back and started the car. It will crank but will not start . I gave it 3-4 long cranks , opened the hood , checked all the electric connections , again cranked but no deal. The again did the whole routine and it started as if nothing had happened . It has started fine every time after that incident . I think a week ago also there was this type of issue but car had started fine after a little longer crank. Car as such is good shape and in good tune.

I looks like as if some component is going to fail, what it can be ? I do not want to be stranded with the whole family in the car.

Does CPS fail like this ?

Regards.
