Koyo to nonKoyo rack swap 700

I have a 93 940T with a Koyo steering rack, or at least a '1' on the ID plate. I have a really low miles used rack complete, that is not a Koyo that I had put in my 90 740 originally from a 90 760. I want to put it in the 940. According to various parts lists, ZF, Cam, and TRW all will interchange if everything is swapped out to the ends, but Koyo is somehow different. I don't know what the difference is; if I could surmount it that'd be great. I suspect it's a fluid line issue, different size where they attach to the rack, but don't know.
Posting this in 900 and 700 as both are relevant.
Thanks
